The Cadillac Chronicles
The Cadillac Chronicles is a work-in-progress that continues my exploration of photography and American culture through the portrait. This series of photoraphs explore questions I'm posing about race, photographic representation and the possibilites of the photographic portrait in the 21st century. An entry point for this work is the storied relationship between the Cadillac and African American men and a period when the Cadillac and American automotive manufacturing was marketed and regarded as "Standard of the World."
